I live in the Northern Virginia area just south of Washington, DC in a fairly nice 3,000 sq ft 4 level split on a little over an acre of land that is heavily treed. Lots of privacy here.... with my own private bar that I built myself in the lower level of my home. I totally enjoy the great entertainment center that the bar creates. The bar is a "total" wet bar that I keep stocked with all the best drinks. My most favorite concoction is "Love Potion #9". It's made with 2oz Southern Comfort, 1oz Creme De Banana, 1oz Grenadine, 1oz Ameratto, 2oz Orange drink with 1/2 cup of crushed ice and blended until smooth! It's a drink that's guaranteed to put ya in the mood! :-) I watch my movies on a large screen 45" TV that I put down the lower level to enhance the entertainment value.
Because I put a bar down on the lower level of the house I also thought that a bathrooom should be down there too.... Soooooo, I put a fairly large bathroom down there with a Shower for couples! Yes! Everybody loves to shower with their significant other.... but nobody seems to do anything about it! Well, I put in this large fully enclosed shower that measures over 3 feet wide by 6 feet long. The shower incorporates 4 shower heads (two on each side) with each side having it's own temperture control.... so that she can have a different temperture than you if she likes! :-) I also installed a steam supply that makes it a steam room if you like! :-) Just the thing before you relax your muscles with one of my electric massagers.

Fantasies turn into Realities!

Why can't anybody be themselves? Maybe when they're old and decrepit they will realize that there's more to life than plastic visions. The American dream gone sour? Lamborghini, Gucci, gold chains--will it buy happiness? I doubt it. I just need to find someone that appreciates the beauty within--the beauty that not even time can fade away. The Vietnamese Buddhist monk and philosopher, Thich Nhat Hanh, writes about enjoying a good cup of tea. You must be completely awake in the present to enjoy the tea. Only in the awareness of the present can your hands feel the pleasant warmth of the cup. Only in the present can you savor the aroma, taste the sweetness, appreciate the delicacy. If you are ruminating about the past or worrying about the future, you will completely miss the experience of enjoying the cup of tea. You will look down at the cup, and the tea will be gone.
Life is like that. If you are not fully present, you will look around and it will be gone. You will have missed the feel, the aroma, the delicacy and beauty of life. It will seem to be speeding past you.
The past is finished. Learn from it and let it go. The future is not even here yet. Plan for it, but do not waste your time worrying about it. Worrying is worthless. When you stop ruminating about what has already happened, when you stop worrying about what might never happen, then you will be in the present moment. Then you will begin to experience joy in life.
